Hello, Everyone!
My name is Miss. Buttars and I am excited to be teaching you this year! I love teaching FACS Education and helping students accomplish new concepts that they have never done before. After taking my classes this semester, you will be able to say things like, "I made this apron," or, "I know how to make doughnuts, do you?" You will all learn new things and it's going to be a fun adventure for you and I, both.
A little bit about me: I grew up in central Utah in a town called Mt. Pleasant. I am the oldest of four children (5, if you count my mother's favorite child, her dog, Max). I moved up north when I was 15 and graduated from Lehi High School. I went to three different colleges; Snow College, Utah Valley University, and Brigham Young University, where I graduated in 2014 with a Bachelors of Science in Family and Consumer Science Education.
I enjoy doing many things :) Some of my favorites include music, local concerts, reading, watching movies, hiking, sewing, crocheting, cooking, and spending time with my friends and family. You'll learn quickly that I am a local music junkie. Since I was a senior in high school I have been going to concerts as often as I can. Through this I have met many cherished friends.
Parents (and students), if you ever need to contact me, please feel free! I am here to help you in any way that I can. Email is the easiest way to reach me. I will reply back with an email or I will call you as needed.
This is going to be a great school year! I look forward to getting to know all of you and letting you teach me as well.
